26 of 52: Artemis

This week I enjoyed Andy Weir’s “Artemis.”

“I live in Conrad Down 15, a grungy area fifteen floors underground in Conrad Bubble. If my neighborhood were wine, connoisseurs would describe it as “shitty, with overtones of failure and poor life decisions.”

Jasmine Bashara lives on the moon. Yes, a lunar colony. She’s a smuggler who is presented with a very interesting opportunity. One of her clients wants her to use her skills to commit the perfect heist.

Instead, she finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation.

Final thoughts: After seeing “The Martian” with Matt Damon, I expected a super serious novel. It’s not. Jasmine is a super sassy, badass heroine. Weir was able to deliver a clever story that left me wanting more.
